The second phase of the Connected Hubs voucher scheme was launched this week, allowing anyone across the country to avail of up to three free hotdesking vouchers
Galway city’s PorterShed will once again be taking part in this scheme which will give everyone the opportunity to experience what it is like to work in a modern hub.
The ConnectedHubs.ie platform is an online portal that has over 280 active co-working hubs, most of which are taking part in the scheme. Anyone can sign up by registering an account and logging in – and booking a desk couldn’t be easier to do.
Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys, launched the second phase at the National Ploughing Championships.
“Under Phase 2, any user of ‘Connected Hubs’ can receive three free vouchers at any stage until the end the year.
“Hubs have the potential to make a significant impact on rural communities and our regional towns. Given where I am today, at the National Ploughing Championships, I am delighted to announce that Phase two of the Voucher Scheme is now open,” the Minister said.
Ultimately, a voucher user could start their working week up in Donegal before finishing the week down in Galway at the PorterShed. The initiative offers an ideal and free way of visiting a number of hubs, giving users a taste of modern work-life balance.
PorterShed Community and Production Manager Anthony Shaughnessy is excited at the prospect of welcoming many new faces between now and the end of the year.
“It’s great to get out into the wide world and see what’s happening…and trust me, there’s a lot happening right now in co-working spaces.
“The PorterShed community is alive as ever, and we’re keen to welcome new faces. Here, you’ll always be greeted with a smile and a hot cup of coffee, so feel free to pop onto ConnectedHubs.ie and get your voucher. We’d love to see you in Galway.”
